Paper Trail at the White Swan

Last week we told you about York Paper Trail which is smartening up various sites around our city.  Here's some more recent images of the art involved. These are all on the White Swan Hotel on the corner of Piccadilly
This city centre building marked its centenary last year but is probably best known for the fact that it has stood empty for decades.

The hotel closed sometime in the 1980s and was declared unfit for habitation about 20 years ago.   Plans have now been submitted to redevelop much of the building as apartments.

You can read more about the hotel's past and potential future on the excellent York Stories blog.
