York Art Society would like to wish all our members and supporters a very happy 2015 as we enter this New Year. If it helps, think of it as a blank canvas, 365 days wide, and make of it what you wish.
Our year starts with the January demonstration by Robert Brindley on Saturday 10th at the usual venue and continues with our two week exhibition at the St Leonard Hospice Shop in Heworth which runs from Saturday 17th to Saturday 31st.
Handing in day for St Leonards is two weeks tomorrow (Friday 16th January) between 4pm and 5pm. That's a very tight window as hanging will take place in a frantic hour to enable us to be ready for the preview evening at 6pm sharp. More information about entries will be available at the January 10th demonstration. If you can't make that, please drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Looking ahead further to April, we're delighted to announce that our 201st Exhibition will be opened by Jonathan Cowap of BBC Radio York. We'll be back at the De Grey Rooms for this and more details will appear on this blog as the event takes shape.
