War Is Over (If You Want It)

97 years ago today, the guns fell silent in France.

But not for long.

Each succeeding generation has had to face their own struggles and sacrifice.

Today even the act of remembrance is frequently marred by political point scoring from career politicians and extremists on each end of the political spectrum.

On this Remembrance Day, let's simply be thankful for peace (such as it is) and freedom (of a sort) and be mindful of the cost that was paid by millions down across the centuries.
